This neighborhood may be small but it has a lot of history. Located west of Swinton Avenue from NW 2nd Avenue to NW 6th Avenue and north to NW 2nd Street. This neighborhood exemplifies the pioneering spirt of the African American Communities contribution to building Delray Beach. Here you will find the Spady Museum, named after Solomon D. Spady who was a prominent black educator and community leader. His home 170 5th Avenue is primarily dedicated to African American History in Delray Beach
Also, on NE 5th Avenue you will find what I call Delray’s little secret, Donnie’s Place. Donnie’s place is southern soul food style restaurant. From when you walk in you will be made to feel welcome and the food is amazing too!
